Privacy
DejaPC is built to stay out of your way — and off the network. It runs entirely on your Mac.
No tracking, no accounts
DejaPC has no analytics, no telemetry, and no sign-in. We don't collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There are no servers involved in running the app.
Your data stays local
Everything each feature touches — clipboard history, the files you cut and paste, screen captures for the colour picker and OCR, your settings — is processed and stored only on your Mac. Clipboard history (if you enable it) is kept in your local Application Support folder and never leaves the device. Password-manager items marked confidential are skipped.
System permissions
Some features ask for macOS permissions (Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Screen Recording, Automation) only when you turn that feature on. They're used solely to make the feature work locally — never to observe you. You can revoke any of them at any time in System Settings.
Updates
To check for new versions, DejaPC fetches a small update feed from dejapc.com. That request is anonymous — just a file download. You can turn automatic update checks off in the app's General settings.
